Greetings Everyone,
Summer is here and with it the promise of new beginnings. Everyone begins to feel renewed and rejuvenated. We acquire more motivation as students and tutors. This new energy will keep us on track with zest for another season.
On behalf of NLLLC Board and Staff I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our Volunteers and students for a job well done. Volunteers are not paid -- not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless. (Author Unknown)

2006 Annual General Meeting & Conference Update
This year the Humber Literacy Council of Corner Brook will host the NLLLC AGM & Conference at the Glynmill Inn, in Corner Brook from November 16 -18, 2006. This years’ conference will involve a day of workshops followed by a banquet on Friday evening and conclude with the AGM and Round Table discussions on Saturday. The AGM and Conference provides an opportunity for local councils, staff, board members, volunteers and students to come together, mix and mingle. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend, so mark your calanders!

NLLLC Tutor Training
NLLLC has received funding through the Department of Education to help councils provide tutor training throughout the province. Any council in need of financial assistance to provide tutor training please contact NLLLC Provincial Office at 1-800-863-0373, or e-mail laubach@nf.aibn.com. Funding is limited so get your requests in early.
